Veterinarian Dr. Chelsea Mursch lives in Durham, North Carolina, where she has helped to grow Durham Veterinary Medical Center (DVMC). She graduated in 2017 and is currently completing a Master's degree in veterinary pathology in India. She took her Navle CPE exam in Las Vegas, Mississippi, and then graduated from North Carolina State University. After graduating, she served in the US Navy and graduated from the Naval Academy in Washington D.C. with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Pathology.
Dr. Carter graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. After playing into her hands more in medicine, she returned to the NC state to complete her DVM degree. She received her PhD in veterinary medicine from Oklahoma State University, where she was awarded Drs.
In 2005, she was certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, one of the most advanced forms of acupuncture available in North Carolina. In 2014, she sold her stake in her practice and has since worked in various medical roles for Vets & Pets. She has worked with a variety of animals, such as dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and rabbits, to name a few, but has a particular interest in dogs and cats in particular, as well as cats and dogs in general.
Their reasons for moving to the Raleigh-Durham area are the ability to take their dogs almost anywhere they go, as well as the high cost of veterinary care in North Carolina.
Growing up on a disused dairy farm in Vermont, Dr. Scott spent a lot of time exploring the land and animals. He knew he wanted to be a vet since he was five years old, which is a career that combines a love of animals with an interest in science. At his parents "farm in Reidsville, NC, he volunteered to care for the animals and feed them for many years.
He moved to North Carolina to work in the interim department of the CVM of the NCSU and was there for 6 years. After working in a variety of fields, from veterinary medicine to animal health and animal care, Bethany joined Banfield and combined her professional experience with her love of animals. She moved to NC and practised in Durham for a few years before going to Healing Paws Veterinary Hospital.
Currently, she has a small zoo in her house, with a Bengal highland lynx mix called Atlas, a Basenji mix called Paisley and an arrow poison frog called Bean, and a red - ear-shaped slider turtle called Bubblenamed Bubble. Jane has two adorable cats she rescued from the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources (NCDNR) and NCSU Animal Care and Control in a constantly upgraded freshwater tank.
Dr. Mursch has 2 dogs and 3 cats, has two French bulldogs at home, Carl and Gertie, and spends her free time riding and exploring the Raleigh area. Dr Carter likes to read, walk her dogs, sell at shows and look after her menagerie of animals. She has a family, including her husband and two young children, as well as a dog and cat, in which she finds healing. In her spare time, she loves to be outside and explore a new state with her boyfriend Shane, showing her family reptiles and exotic animals.
Her love of animals was always present and when she completed an internship at the Carolina Raptor Center, she realized that she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida, she worked as an equine veterinarian before moving to a small animal practice. She worked as a veterinary assistant at a large veterinary practice in Charlotte for several years before becoming the owner of a smaller veterinary practice in Durham.
She has been in private practice for 13 years and has been a resident veterinarian at Durham Veterinary Medical Center (DMC) in Durham since 2018.
She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island, graduated from Meredith College and moved to North Carolina to pursue a master's degree in reproductive physiology. She is a Free Free Free Certified Level 3 and ISFM Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional and has experience from emergency to hands - in nursing.
After graduation, Dr. Frum completed an internship and a stay at Mississippi State, specializing in dog and cat medicine. She joined the Banfield family as a local vet during her stay in 2018 and began working full-time at Banfields Southpoint in August 2020. Veterinarian Melissa started working at BanFIELD in November 2017 and moved from Cary in December 2018.
She was born and raised in New York City and graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2016. She began her career at the Banfield site in New York and moved to Charlotte in 2019. She is currently completing her master's degree in veterinary medicine at UNC - Chapel Hill and will graduate in December 2019 and work full-time at Banfields Southpoint.
